What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef de Partie position at Saugahatchee Country Club?
Saugahatchee CC is looking for a Chef de Partie to assist the Sous Chef & Executive Chef in opening, running the line, and fulfilling banquet orders. The candidate will employ its culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction. The ideal candidate must have prior experience at a high level with exceptional cooking skills, as well as the knowledge needed to lead a team. This is a great position for a cook or new chef to learn and enhance their skills.
Responsibilities
- Able to work weekends and holidays
- Runs and manages the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef
- Is a team leader in the kitchen by setting examples of a strong work ethic, professionalism, a positive attitude, patience, etc…
- Produce high quality plates in presentation and taste
- Ensure that the kitchen meets our quality standards and is putting out food in a timely manner
- Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements and skills
- Atleast 3 years of experience as a Cook/Chef preferably in the country club world
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
- Accuracy and speed in expediting tickets, banquet meals, plated meals, etc…
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate would be a plus but not required
Salary/Wages $18-$24 per hour dependent on experience
