Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models of compressor components and assemblies
- Translate engineering concepts into clear, accurate technical documentation
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes
- Verify latest revisions are on record
- Prepare as-built documentation based on production red-lines
- Maintain organized drawing files and support documentation for internal and customer use.
- Communicate with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Engineering team members on drawings and designs
- Stay up to date with project tracking software, ISO documentation requirements, and various other procedures and processes
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma required; Associate's degree or related certification preferred
- (14) years minimum related experience with creating parts and assemblies with 3D drafting software (Autodesk Inventor or similar)
- Understanding of military specifications for welding and NDT preferred
- Experience with electrical and mechanical drafting practices required
- Experience in ship design preferred
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize, within high-paced environment
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with ERP (Epicor) preferred
- Experience working under ISO:9001 required
- Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance (as needed)
