Responsibilities
- Operate Square point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, refunds, mark items low or out of stock, etc
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking taking orders, making drinks, dropping off items, paging orders, marking orders on POS
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customer, showing menu knowledge, answering questions, and assisting with menu inquiries
- Upsell items and promote specials to enhance the dining experience and increase sales
- Pack and hand out takeout orders with accuracy
- Maintain an organized work space, and ensure the dining area is clean and inviting
- Refill beverage fridge and prepare batched fruit spritzer bases, tea base, etc.
- Restock Togo containers and utensils, chilled glasses, etc.
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling, balancing registers, and processing payments
- Communicate effectively with team members using phone etiquette and teamwork skills to support daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering or restaurant experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Knowledge of basic restaurant operation, and upselling techniques is desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly, professional demeanor
