Librarian / Media Specialist

Colebrook Academy & Elementary School seeks an energetic, motivated educator to serve as Media/Library Specialist for grades K-8 for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. The Media/Library Specialist will join a staff that is continuously moving on a journey to promote literacy for all students and build a broad and balanced library that reflects the diversity of the global community. The primary duties of the Media/Library Specialist are to: Create a library program that turns the library into a full-service learning center that uses books and technology to promote literacy and equity for all students Collaborate with teachers to find meaningful and innovative ways of integrating literacy and digital ethics into the curriculum Deliver direct instruction to students around digital citizenship Curriculum will include project-based learning and digital literacy, while incorporating disciplinary literacy skills and facilitating authentic learning
