Terms of Employment: Full-Time; School Year
Qualifications:
*Thorough knowledge of business English telephone etiquette, spelling and arithmetic.
*Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and considerable experience in progressively responsible clerical work
*Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, managing spreadsheets, Google Docs, Drive and Calendar, as well as Excel, Word, and other Cloud based storage.
*Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
*Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
*Ability to work independently in the absence of specific instruction.
*Ability to meet the public professionally and in a welcoming manner.
*Ability to work with elementary school students and parents and to be able to de-escalate clients in a variety of situations, either on the phone or in person.
Job Goals: The job of School Secretary is for the purpose/s of ensuring accurate attendance
accounting; resolving attendance related issues; ensuring compliance with State
reporting and documenting requirements; conveying attendance related information to
appropriate parties; and providing clerical support, information and/or direction as
may be assigned at the school site.
