Primary Responsibilities
To provide support to the Student Services Director, managing complex, confidential and sensitive responsibilities across Special Education programs.
Qualifications
The SAU is seeking a highly motivated person to work at the Central Office. The Special Education Administrative Assistant works collaboratively with the Director of Student Services to ensure the smooth daily operation of the Special Education Department. Duties may include, but are not limited to, maintaining and entering data into NHSEIS and PowerSchool databases, coordinating transportation, maintaining caseload lists of students with disabilities, processing purchase orders and special education invoices and, managing phone calls.
This position requires confidentiality, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This person will have good communication skills, understand attention to detail and have data entry experience. People skills are necessary as this position deals with students, staff, and the public. Experience in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred. Experience in PowerSchool or similar student information system preferred but not required.
