Position Summary:
The Technology Support and Student Information System Coordinator provides frontline technology support for staff and students while also managing and supporting the district’s Student Information System (SIS) and related data processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, security, and effective use of district technology systems and student data.
The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, technical troubleshooting abilities, and experience working with student information systems, databases, and educational technology platforms. Experience with Alma is preferred. Willing to train the right candidate.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, office systems or related field preferred.
Relevant experience in technology support and/or student data systems preferred.
Experience working in a school environment is preferred.
Experience with Alma preferred.
Knowledge of Google Workspace, Chromebooks, Windows, Apple devices, and basic networking concepts.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff and students.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Technology Support
Provide first-level technical support for district staff and students through the IT Help Desk.
Troubleshoot initial hardware, software, printing, network connectivity, and account access issues.
Assist IT Department to configure and deploy Chromebook and other educational technology devices.
Assist users with Google Workspace applications and educational technology tools.
Assist with user account creation, password resets, and access management.
Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
Support classroom and office technology setup and troubleshooting.
Student Information System & Data Coordination
Maintain and support the district’s Student Information System (Alma).
Collaborate with school teams for student enrollment, scheduling, attendance, grading, and reporting processes.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of student and staff data.
Generate reports for school administrators, state reporting, and district operations.
Provide training and support to staff on SIS procedures and best practices.
Assist with state and federal data submissions as required.
Monitor District data quality and help resolve data discrepancies.
Support integrations between the SIS and other district software platforms.
Additional Responsibilities
Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information in accordance with FERPA and district policies.
Document support requests and maintain technical procedures.
Participate in technology projects, system upgrades, and software implementations.
Assist with summer technology preparation and deployment activities.
Attend recommended training for related job functions
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology or administration.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move technology equipment up to 40 pounds.
Ability to move between school buildings and classrooms as needed.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and work at computer stations for extended periods.
Term of Employment
Full-time, year-round position.

Evaluation
Performance will be evaluated annually by the Director of Information Technology based on responsiveness, quality of support, professionalism, and contribution to district technology operations.
