The Special Education Facilitator serves as the LEA representative and coordinator for all building special education teams - including referral, evaluation, identification, IEP service delivery, and placement - and is responsible ensuring that students with disabilities receive specially designed instruction to meet their unique needs; conducting or scheduling pertinent evaluations required to inform team determinations; providing specially designed instruction directly to students; monitoring and correcting issues related to compliance; providing the school community with a common and consistent approach to all matters related to special education; and facilitating working relationships among all staff and families in order to yield measurable growth and achievement for students identified with an educational disability. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required.
