Role: Automation Engineer - Azure
Location: Redmond Onsite day 1
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automation scripts predominantly using PowerShell, and potentially C# programming, to streamline system configuration, deployment, and monitoring tasks on Windows platforms, integrating with Azure cloud services.
- Work extensively with Azure cloud infrastructure, leveraging ARM templates or equivalent Infrastructure-as-Code technologies to automate cloud resource provisioning and management.
- Conduct manual and automated testing of developed solutions both in Windows and Azure ecosystems to validate performance and reliability standards.
- Collaborate with solution architects, software engineers, and operations teams to identify automation opportunities, contribute to system design, and improve deployment workflows.
- Undertake proactive problem solving and incident resolution, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational excellence in cloud-based and on-premises environments.
- Operate with a high degree of independence, demonstrating initiative to manage and prioritize workload while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
- Preferred Experience and Skills:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in Windows Platform Engineering with demonstrated expertise in automation engineering.
- Proficiency with Azure cloud services, including hands-on experience creating, managing, and testing automated deployments using ARM templates or similar tools.
- Strong scripting skills, preferably in PowerShell, with additional programming capabilities in C# viewed favorably.
- Familiarity with Linux systems is advantageous but not essential, complementing Windows-based automation skill sets.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within diverse teams and the ability to document technical processes clearly.
- Client-centric mindset, passion for delivering results, and learning agility to quickly adopt and apply new technologies.
