Saturna Capital is seeking an Editorial and Communications Coordinator to support the planning, development, and execution of Saturna’s public communications, including financial reports, brochures, content on websites, social media, and advertising. This position assists the Marketing Manager with preparing internal and external reports, coordinating editorial and content review workflows, and collaborating with multiple departments to create, edit, and publish accurate and compelling content for investors and financial advisors.
Location: Bellingham
Expected Starting Wage: $30 - $36 per hour (DOE)
Primary duties include:
- Coordinate editorial workflows for public-facing marketing communications, ensuring timely review, proofreading, and approval prior to printing and distribution.
- Edit and proofread marketing, investor, and educational materials for clarity, consistency, and brand alignment.
- Fact-check regulatory and investment marketing reports and materials prior to distribution.
- Compose, proofread, factcheck. and publish content for articles, press releases, news articles, events, and reports, web pages, email copy, and social media content across multiple brands and products.
- Collect, format, and distribute daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly performance data to industry rating and tracking organizations.
- Prepare basic analysis and summaries for internal and external reporting, presentations, and dashboards as needed.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create SEO-optimized product and service content for various channels. Review SEO reports and implement updates on website.
- Maintain organized content libraries, style references, and version control for marketing and investor materials.
- Assist in reinforcing and development of editorial style guide.
- Publish content to website.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, including exceptional grammar, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate input from various stakeholders.
- Use AI to intelligently to assist with developing a range of content from social media posts to email copy and investor education content, along using AI for copyediting.
- Use project management software to coordinate editorial workflows.
- Ability to form and maintain positive relationships with colleagues. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Required Education and Experience:
- Previous copywriting/editing experience in the financial services sector preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, with strong academic record
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word and Microsoft Excel (writing formulas, linking spreadsheets) and mac OS.
- Obtain required FINRA SIE, Series 63, and Series 7 licenses within the first nine months of employment.
- Intermediate Adobe InDesign layout experience.
- Embraces artificial intelligence. Using AI in a professional environment is preferred.
- Experience with B2B and B2C writing and digital content preferred
- Experience working within Drupal or other content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot.
- IntermediateHTML and SEO best practices for digital content publishing.
