Role Description The Concrete Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Phoenix, AZ. This role is responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, performing detailed quantity takeoffs, and preparing accurate cost estimates for concrete projects. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs; preparing bids and proposals; and collaborating closely with project managers, supervisors, and clients to clarify project requirements. The Concrete Estimator will also help evaluate project risks, maintain updated pricing and historical cost data, and support scheduling and budgeting efforts to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated supervisory skills, including the ability to coordinate field crews and collaborate effectively with project teams.
- Experience working around heavy equipment and an understanding of the equipment, materials, and methods used in concrete construction.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Background in carpentry or concrete-related construction trades, with an understanding of formwork, reinforcement, and finishing practices.
- Ability to oversee basic maintenance of tools and equipment and ensure safe, efficient operation on project sites.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Solid math and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns.
- Knowledge of local building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations relevant to concrete construction.
- Prior experience as a concrete estimator or in a related construction estimating role preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or coursework in construction management or a related field is a plus.
