What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post Harvest Technician position at Satori VT?
Satori is looking for positive, organized, and detail-oriented candidates to join our Cultivation Department as Post-Harvest Technicians. As a Post-Harvest Tech, you will work under the supervision of our Cultivation Manager and Director of Cultivation to prepare and process every crop from harvest to final trimming. The role mainly focuses on processing flower post-harvest, with most of the work week dedicated to hand trimming premium flower. The remaining responsibilities include both independent and team-oriented tasks including plant defoliation, harvesting, bin drying, bucking, and machine trimming. In addition, this role will help monitor crop moisture levels throughout the post-harvest process and inventory crops in storage.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain the upmost cleanliness and organized work environment within the trimming room
- Observe all required PPE requirements while handling cannabis
- Effectively process and trim flower according to established SOPs and end-product quality standards
- Meet required productivity standards per day
- Participate in all aspects of post-harvest processing including hang drying, bin drying, bucking, and trimming
- Effectively grade and sort flower by size and quality from a wide variety of cannabis strains
- Maintain production records for all activities
- Handle, transport, and dispose of waste materials
- Clean and maintain equipment including humidifiers, trimming machines, and hand tools
- Monitor moisture levels throughout the entire post-harvest process to ensure proper handling and storage
- Take weekly inventory of work in progress
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Willingness to learn and work within other departments as required
- Perform other assigned tasks as requested by supervisor
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check as mandated by the Cannabis Control Board * High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

- Required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and/or focus on one task for an entire day
- Must possess superior fine motor skills and hand eye coordination
