Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Picker/Packer to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and ready for shipment. You'll work in a dynamic environment where efficiency, safety, and precision are essential. Responsibilities
- Use RF scanners, tablets, and barcode systems to accurately pick and verify items for customer orders.
- Pack products securely using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Load and unload shipments with proper handling techniques, adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Assist with inventory management by conducting stock counts, updating warehouse management systems (WMS), and reporting discrepancies.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by organizing incoming goods and preparing outgoing orders for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, or pallet jacks is highly desirable but not required.
- Basic math skills for counting items, measuring quantities, and verifying order accuracy.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to manual handling, heavy equipment operation, and PPE use.
- Experience with order fulfillment processes including picking & packing, quality control, and stock replenishment.
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while working in a fast-paced environment.
