Satco, Inc. is looking for EXPERIENCED MACHINEST to join our team in Louisville, KY.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machine tools to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, cutting, shaping, etc.
- Operate machine tools to produce products that meet or exceed quality standards.
- Inspect parts for quality assurance.
- Clean and maintain the machine tools and the work area.
- Work with other team members to complete tasks as assigned.
- Follow all company safety rules and guidelines.
- Maintain a good attendance record.
Under the direction of the Fabrication Manager, the Machinist will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Good reading and mathematical skills
- Must be able to use small hand and power tools
- Demonstrated ability to read and follow work instructions, process instructions, engineering standards.
- Effectively communicate with others
- Ability to access and utilize computer systems
- Ability to operate a variety of machinery
- Work in a safe manner to promote health and well-being of you and other team members
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
