Radiology Technologist

Position Summary: Provides quality diagnostic and CT procedures accurately for doctors to use in
diagnosis and treatment of various accident, trauma and a wide variety of defects
and diseases.

Duties:
1. Ability to perform routine diagnostic radiological procedures following standard operating
procedures.
2. Knowledge of x-ray equipment or diagnostic radiology equipment sufficient to monitor for
proper operation, modify standard procedures to accommodate new equipment or examinations
and determine when maintenance or repair is needed.
3. Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology to identify organs appearing on images sufficient to
judge acceptability of radiographic films for diagnostic use and to determine proper positioning
techniques.
4. Knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques, contrast media, processor/reader procedures
sufficient to provide optimal radiological material for interpretation.
5. Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed.
6. Respects and maintains patient confidentiality.
7. Participates in evening and weekend call rotations.
8. Works professionally with other staff/team members, maintaining good rapport and cooperation
between departments.
9. Maintains CEU and CPR certifications to retain registration and licensure.
10. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner in the community.
11. Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical patient care and practices.
12. Excellent attendance record.

Marginal Functions: Performs other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.

Schedule:
Employee will be required to take evening and weekend on-call, alternating with the Director of Radiology. Employee will report to work Monday thru Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm when not on-call. Weeks when employee is on-call, employee will report to work 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and answer calls from hospital after hours. On-call weekends will be alternating between the Director of Radiology, contract help and employee. Employee will be required to work one weekend a month and every other holiday (depending on availability of contractor).

This position is an on‑site role and is not eligible for remote or telecommuting work. Regular, in‑person attendance at the designated work location is an essential function of the position.

Qualifications: ARRT Registered; Kansas Board of Healing Arts Licensed; CPR certified; CT training preferred but will train the right individual
