Sassy Cow Creamery is seeking a reliable, hard-working Ice Cream Maker for our ice cream production. In this role, you will be an integral part of our ice cream manufacturing team, making premium ice cream and fulfilling customer orders all while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Measure, pour and mix manufacturing ingredients according to recipes.
- Keep accurate production records and safety standards to comply with regulatory standards.
- Label and package products into containers.
- Assemble and disassemble equipment daily for cleaning and sanitizing.
- Organize and rotate inventory.
- Fulfill customer orders.
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
- Ability to assist in other areas as needed when assigned to by plant management.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Reliable, highly motivated and energetic.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detailed orientated and strong focus on food safety.
- Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work in a fast-paced.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach and bend for at least eight hours.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience in food manufacturing preferred.

Sassy Cow Creamery is a family farmstead creamery located in Columbus, Wis., 20 minutes east of Madison. The Creamery bottles 6,000 gallons of milk daily and makes 48,000 gallons of ice cream a year suppling over 400 stores, restaurants, coffee houses and food service accounts. Each summer over 10,000 people visit Sassy Cow Creamery for farm and creamery tours.
