Job Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Tax Accountant with 5–7 years of public accounting experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity with a firm that values technical excellence, professional development, and meaningful client relationships. This position is in-office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns, including individual (Form 1040), partnership (Form 1065), corporate and S corporation (Forms 1120 and 1120-S), fiduciary/trust (Form 1041) returns, and exempt organization (Form 990-PF) returns.
- Review and prepare quarterly and year-end tax projections and estimates
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies and identify tax-saving opportunities
- Perform tax research and analyze technical tax issues
- Communicate with clients and respond to tax-related inquiries
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely filing of tax returns
- Assist with training and mentoring junior staff as needed
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of public accounting tax experience required
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual, partnership, corporate, fiduciary tax returns, and exempt organization tax returns.
- CPA preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Master's degree in Taxation a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
- Technology proficient; experience with Microsoft Office, CCH Axcess, and QuickBooks preferred
