Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly, creating a friendly atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Clover
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks with professionalism, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and maintaining sanitation standards to uphold a clean dining environment
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and provide correct change while maintaining excellent guest relations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles such as server, host/hostess, bartender, or busser is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems including Clover, Toast or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and ability to engage guests effectively
- Knowledge of food handling safety procedures and sanitation standards
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently through excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately
- Experience with wine knowledge, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service is a plus
- Previous experience in fine dining or nightclub environments is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
