About the job
The Strategic Sourcing and Procurement team is looking for a Procurement Analyst (Emerging Careers). Our team sources, negotiates, and contracts for goods and services on behalf of SAS.
As a Procurement Analyst (Emerging Careers), you will:
- Manage all aspects of the sourcing process for the organization.
- Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- Identify, collect, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to support procurement decisions.
- Monitor and report on the performance of contractual agreements and/or projects.
- Build value into business processes through the principles of supply management.
- Procure non-standard goods and services for SAS US as well as for international locations.
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing usage of corporate resources.
- Research and analyze effective sourcing strategies and develop relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and reports to stakeholders on compliance with quality and contractual criteria; escalate issues within supplier organization, and if necessary within SAS.
- Determine total costs for various business options; work with appropriate personnel to analyze alternatives from a financial perspective
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in supply management, business administration, economics, marketing, accounting or related field.
- Typically requires at least 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management and/or contract administration.
- Works independently; receives minimal guidance on day-to-day work and new projects or assignments.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in place of the requirements above.
