Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring that all spaces are hygienic, well-maintained, and presentable for employees, visitors, and clients alike. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high standards of cleanliness through efficient cleaning practices and facility upkeep.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, lobbies, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of machinery or large areas when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, fixtures, and furniture to uphold a professional environment
- Assist with custodial duties related to waste disposal, restocking supplies, and minor maintenance tasks
- Support facilities maintenance activities including light repairs or painting as needed to ensure optimal facility condition
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques
- Strong understanding of floor care methods including buffing and polishing equipment operation
- Ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices such as minor repairs or residential painting is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple cleaning responsibilities effectively
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and properly handle cleaning chemicals
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing manual tasks throughout the shift
