Job Summary
We are looking for a Truck Driver Recruiter to source, screen, qualify, and onboard qualified truck drivers for U.S. trucking companies. The recruiter will be responsible for maintaining a strong driver pipeline and ensuring candidates meet company, DOT, and client-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Source CDL Class A truck drivers through job boards, social media, referrals, databases, and recruiting platforms.
- Make high-volume outbound calls to potential drivers and explain available opportunities.
- Recruit OTR, Regional, Local, Dedicated, and Owner-Operator drivers.
- Explain compensation packages, bonuses, home-time policies, routes, equipment, and benefits.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruiting and onboarding process.
- Coordinate with safety, operations, HR, and driver-management teams.
- Follow up with applicants to reduce candidate drop-off.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified CDL drivers.
- Conduct reference and background checks as required.
- Assist candidates with completing onboarding documentation.
Required Skills
- 1–3 years of U.S. truck driver recruiting experience preferred.
- Understanding of CDL Class A driver requirements.
- Knowledge of U.S. trucking terminology and geography.
- Strong telephone communication and persuasion skills.
- Excellent follow-up and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work with high-volume recruiting targets.
- Comfortable using ATS/CRM, spreadsheets, email, and recruiting platforms.
- Strong communication skills.
