Responsibilities
- Diagnose issues on small engines, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and other outdoor power equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform repairs on various engines such as gasoline and diesel-powered units, ensuring proper functionality through mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, spark plug replacements, carburetor adjustments, and belt replacements.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs safely and effectively.
- Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to identify faulty components and execute precise repairs on engines and related systems.
- Repair larger machinery such as generators and heavy-duty equipment with a focus on electrical systems and mechanical integrity.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and offering maintenance advice to enhance equipment longevity.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or service technician background working with small engines or outdoor power equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, equipment repair, or heavy machinery maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, soldering techniques, and diesel engine repair is highly desirable.
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and performing vehicle or equipment maintenance tasks.
- Prior customer service experience combined with sales aptitude to assist customers effectively.
- Ability to lift heavy components safely while maintaining a focus on safety protocols throughout all repair activities.
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
