Journeyman Service Electrician
Pay: From $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Location: In-person (Oregon & Washington service area)
Job Type: Full-time
Sarkinen Home Services is looking for a skilled Journeyman Service Electrician who holds current licenses in both Oregon and Washington. This role focuses on residential service work (with some commercial and industrial projects) and includes both technical electrical work and direct customer interaction.
What You’ll Do
- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently and to code
- Perform installations and repairs in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), Oregon electrical codes, and Washington Administrative Code (WAC)
- Sell electrical services and additional work to customers
- Test systems to ensure proper and safe operation
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete jobs on time and within budget
- Provide guidance and training to apprentices as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Current Oregon and Washington Journeyman Electrical Licenses (both required)
- Proven experience as an electrician in residential and commercial settings
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low-voltage and high-voltage applications
- Familiarity with the NEC, Oregon codes, and WAC
- Experience with hand tools and specialized electrical equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities
- Excellent customer service skills and comfort working directly with customers
- Electrical service experience and sales experience are a plus
