SARIS EQUIPMENT LLC is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Purchasing & Supply Chain Buyer who can take ownership of raw material planning, purchasing, logistics, and vendor coordination. If you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoy solving problems, we want to talk to you.
This role plays a key part in ensuring material, parts and finished products are available to support production while maintaining strong vendor relationships and accurate system reporting.
You’ll work closely with suppliers, logistics departments, engineering departments and our manufacturing facility in Madison, Wisconsin to help keep operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
Purchasing & Supply Chain
- Coordinate raw material, parts and finished products planning using our ERP and MRP systems
- Create and manage production purchase orders from initiation through product ready dates
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve PO or invoice discrepancies
- Support capital project purchasing and track project spending
- Generate purchasing and inventory reports
- Manage vendor setup, price and terms negotiation, and consumable purchasing
Freight & Logistics
- Track international freight shipments in accordance with Incoterms
- Set up and maintain landed cost data in the MRP system
- Coordinate with logistics department ocean, air and occasional international parcel shipments.
Sustainability & Compliance
- Issue and track supplier compliance letters
- Maintain sustainability documentation and compliance records
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, or business operations
- Experience in maintenance purchasing including parts, one of a kind pieces of equipment
- Experience reconciling purchase orders and supplier invoices
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Ability to learn and effectively use MRP systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and own tasks and responsibilities, and work independently
- High level of professionalism and integrity
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
