Sargent’s Garage in Des Moines is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician who takes pride in doing the job

right.

We are NOT a flat-rate shop. You are paid for every hour you are at work. We believe good technicians deserve the

security of a strong hourly wage without wondering what their paycheck will look like next week.

We are also introducing an aggressive productivity bonus based on billed hours. The more productive you are, the more you can earn — on top of your regular hourly pay.

Pay: $30–$40 / hour based on experience and ability, plus performance bonus.

We are looking for a technician who can diagnose and repair today’s vehicles, not simply replace parts. Strong

electrical and diagnostic ability is especially valuable to us.

What you’ll be doing:

• General automotive diagnosis and repair
• Electrical and drivability diagnostics
• Brakes, steering, suspension and maintenance
• Engine and mechanical repair
• Using modern scan tools, diagnostic equipment and service information
• Performing thorough digital vehicle inspections
• Working with our service team to identify what vehicles actually need

What we’re looking for:

• Professional automotive repair experience
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability
• Your own professional hand tools
• Valid driver’s license
• Dependable, honest and willing to work as part of a team
• Someone who takes pride in quality workmanship
