What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver/Rigger position at Sarens?
Looking for a Truck Driver with interest in becoming a Rigger within six months!
Independently and safely performing special/heavy transports with a Truck and executing assisting
activities (e.g. rigging). Responsible for general assisting during preparations and lifting operations, safely assembling/disassembling cranes and other lifting/transport systems, constructions in order to guarantee the successful realization of the operational targets.

- Checking of all associated and necessary documents (e.g. instructions, certificates, work plans, ) before starting the work, and ensure that these are all present, understood and that one is able to apply these.
- Study beforehand the transport route, whether it is free from obstacles and accessible.
- Independently driving and controlling the truck, respecting applicable traffic legislation.
- Operating standard auxiliary equipment (e.g. forklift, tele-handler, elevating work platform, etc.)
- Loading and unloading of all parts.
- General assisting during preparations and lifting operations
- Assembling, configuring and dismantling of transport/lifting equipment, constructions as requested by designated supervision in order to offer an efficient and effective service within the deadlines.
- Solve operational problems according to own technical knowledge and experience (in consultation with designated supervisor) in order to guarantee the progress of the works
- Keeping the equipment clean, neat and in good operational condition at all times including refueling at the end of the workday.
- Performing of daily and first line, small maintenance.
- Checking and inspecting the truck and auxiliary equipment on damage before, during and after operations. Reporting on damage and irregularities.
- Correctly and timely fill in and hand in Maintenance Checklists and Work Record Sheets, the latter after having these signed by the client.
- Providing feedback to line or functional Manager on the work and possible extra work.
- Carrying out all tasks in compliance with Sarens' standards, company and client policies and -instructions in order to meet the quality-goals of the company and our customers' satisfaction.
- General assisting during preparations and lifting operations, assembling/disassembling cranes and other lifting/transport systems, constructions as requested by designated supervision in order to offer an efficient and effective service within the deadlines and which is according to the quality-demands of the company
- Solve operational problems according to own technical knowledge and experience (in consultation with designated supervisor) in order to guarantee the progress of the works
- Execute the individual tasks according to the standards and guidelines in order to meet the quality-goals of the company and to our customers' satisfaction
- TWIC card required
- Un-restricted CDL
- Valid Driver License
- 3 years of tractor-trailer experience
