Start Date: August 13, 2026 Work Schedule: 30 hrs/wk TK and Kindergarten Classroom Aide Responsibilities: *Assist with toileting needs, including managing accidents with sensitivity and discretion. *Supervise students during recess and/or lunch yard duty, ensuring their safety and well- being. *Prepare instructional materials for classroom activities and projects. *Lead and facilitate learning centers (e.g., art, science, literacy, math, sensory exploration). *Monitor class while the teacher works with small groups. *Oversee cleanup after art projects and other activities. *Provide support and individualized attention to students with diverse needs. *Supervise students during arrival and dismissal. (TK only) *Escort children to the office as needed. *Administer minor first aid according to established procedures. *Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. *Assist with administrative tasks such as copying, laminating, and collating materials using office equipment properly. *Communicate effectively and professionally with students, office and teaching staff. Desired Qualities: *Demonstrates an understanding of the aide's role in supporting the teacher's instructional time by effectively managing student behavior and needs so that the teacher can continue providing instruction. *Maintains a quiet and respectful communication style with children, minimizing classroom disruptions. *Exhibits strong emotional intelligence and empathy in interactions with students and staff. *Shows respect for individual needs of the students and the teacher as well as the shared classroom environment. *Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. *Attentive to classroom duties and not distracted by personal phone use during work hours. *Ability to take direction from classroom teachers and administrators. *Maintains the highest level of confidentiality in all matters re
