Saratoga Medical (DBA Saratoga Ascend) is hiring a Physician – Psychiatry for an onsite opportunity with Maricopa County Correctional Health Services in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health services in a correctional healthcare setting.
Physician – Psychiatry | Maricopa County, AZRequirements- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical program
- Completion of an accredited U.S. Psychiatry Residency or Fellowship
- Current, valid, unrestricted Arizona Psychiatrist license
- Current Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the Arizona Medical Board
- Current DEA/Controlled Substance Registration Certificate for Schedule II, III, and IV medications
- Current NPI verification
- Current N95 fit testing
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Psychiatrist
- Provide psychiatric consultations, patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
- Evaluate new admissions and re-evaluate patients as needed
- Prescribe medications according to the CHS Pharmacy Formulary
- Manage involuntary treatment, including court-ordered evaluations and involuntary medications
- Participate in the Mental Health Interdisciplinary Treatment Team and coordinate with the Forensic Team
- Develop psychiatric protocols and clinical practice guidelines for the correctional setting
- Assist with licensure and accreditation surveys
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Regular business hours
Jail/Clinic: Floating to all jails
