About the Role:
We are seeking Nurse Practitioners (NP) to join our team at VA Medical Center in Topeka, Kansas in a full-time or locum tenens capacity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Currently registered with the Kansas State Board of Nursing
- Must have at least one year of experience in an area of placement within the past year
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsibilities:
- Perform independent assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of all illnesses and trauma
- Manage chronic health problems
- Perform physical exams, administer indicated immunizations, prescribe medications, and provide counsel and guidance to patients
- Order and interpret lab tests, X-rays, electrocardiograms, etc.
