About The Role
We’re looking for a dedicated Medical Imaging Technologist to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our clinical team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will perform all radiographic procedures efficiently using various imaging modalities (routine radiography, digital and spot fluoroscopy, mobile imaging, trauma, surgical, tomography) at a technical level that requires independent judgment. As a Medical Imaging Technologist, you will also participate in student teaching.
What You’ll Do
Communication: Obtains and relays pertinent patient history to radiologist. Maintains accurate patient log for permanent records. Verifies physician order and ensure that patients are properly identified and prepared for exams.
Equipment/Stock Maintenance: Maintains stock level in Medical Imaging area and reports special purchase orders to Medical Imaging Supervisor. Takes appropriate action in the event of equipment failure; following Radiology downtime protocol.

What You’ll Do
- Imaging: Responsible for performing radiology exams as ordered by providers to assist in the treatment and diagnosis of patients. Operates Digital x-ray equipment to perform diagnostic procedures according to MI department protocol. Positions and performs diagnostic x-ray according to established policy and protocol and according to patient’s age specific needs.
Communication: Obtains and relays pertinent patient history to radiologist. Maintains accurate patient log for permanent records. Verifies physician order and ensure that patients are properly identified and prepared for exams.
Equipment/Stock Maintenance: Maintains stock level in Medical Imaging area and reports special purchase orders to Medical Imaging Supervisor. Takes appropriate action in the event of equipment failure; following Radiology downtime protocol.
- Technical: Ensures all studies are networked via PACS system immediately upon completion of exam. Responsible for promptly entering data into the Meditech system upon procedure completion.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in alignment with Saratoga Hospital values
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support health, healing, and service excellence
- Perform clinical responsibilities with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Use hospital systems and tools to document care and support operations
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and support patient and staff satisfaction
- Serve as a positive, professional representative of our hospital and community
- Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. Licensure by the New York State Department of Health. For employees hired after 1/1/10 must obtain Certification and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T) within 1 year of start date. BLS required.
