We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. In this vital role, you will champion safety initiatives across our developing sites in El Paso, Austin, Killeen and Houston areas ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and promoting a culture of health and safety excellence. Your leadership will help prevent accidents, reduce risks, and uphold our commitment to occupational health and safety standards.
Duties
- Mandatory travel to Houston and El Paso
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and root cause analysis to identify potential risks within manufacturing environments.
- Lead safety training sessions, including CPR, first aid, and OSHA compliance courses, to empower employees with essential safety skills.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, report writing, and compliance documentation; prepare detailed incident reports for management review.
- Coordinate workers' compensation processes by ensuring proper documentation and adherence to workers' compensation law requirements.
- Facilitate emergency response procedures, including first aid response and communication with local emergency services when necessary.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in occupational health practices through ongoing training & development initiatives.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and occupational health principles.
- Certification in CPR, first aid, OSHA safety standards, and experience conducting safety training & development programs.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and report writing related to safety incidents or hazards.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law processes and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead safety meetings and deliver impactful training sessions.
