Your Role:
Our successful Restaurant Chef promotes outstanding relations with all guests and fellow Team Members by providing service in a friendly, swift, and responsible manner. They thrive in a team base environment where everyone consistently uplifts and supports each other through detail oriented work and regularly doing what it takes to ensure all necessary work completed.
Keys to Success in this Role:
- High School diploma or equivalent. Culinary degree preferred.
- Six (6) years culinary experience. Three (3) years supervisory/food management experience is required.
- Able to work flexible schedule based on the needs of the business. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.Oversee and assume full responsibility for the daily culinary operations of the assigned restaurant.
- Supervise, hire, train, schedule, coach, evaluate, and administer progressive discipline for culinary staff in accordance with Human Resources policies.
- Schedule all back-of-house staff according to business demands.
- Develop restaurant menus, including recipe creation, specifications, portion control, costing, and presentation standards.
- Monitor purchasing and requisitioning of all food and non-food items.
- Establish and maintain kitchen par levels and inventory controls.
- Review and manage inventory and sales reports to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor and control payroll costs.
- Ensure all food quality standards are consistently met.
- Attend weekly Food & Beverage meetings.
- Maintain cleanliness and enforce food safety standards in compliance with local, state, and OSHA regulations.
- Promote outstanding customer relations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Able to lift and carry 50 lbs. frequently.
- Able to stand/walk for 6 to 8 hours.
