Your Role:
Our successful Beverage Manager promotes outstanding relations with all guests and fellow Team Members by providing service in a friendly, swift, and responsible manner. They thrive in a team base environment where everyone consistently uplifts and supports each other through detail oriented work and regularly doing what it takes to ensure all necessary work completed.
Keys to Success in this Role:
- College Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent preferred.
- TIPS Certification preferred/Serve Safe Managers Certification preferred
- Five (5) years experience in the food and beverage industry;
- minimum two (2) years in beverage supervision; multi-outlet experience a plus.
- Strong beverage experience and alcoholic beverage product knowledge is required.
- POS system experience is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills are essential.
- Must have computer literacy; knowledge of POS system is an asset.
- Must have participative management style and strong leadership skills.
- Able to work flexible schedule on the needs of the business. Able to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Support the daily operations of all beverage outlets.
- Assists in hiring, training, coaching, motivation, evaluation and discipline of all beverage staff.
- Ensure that all guests are treated in a courteous and professional manner and handle any guest conflicts.
- Assists the Assistant Director Food and Beverage in achieving or exceeding bar revenue and cost objectives.
- Leads the Food and Beverage Supervisors in managing each beverage outlet on the property.
- Conducts daily pre-shift meeting with Supervisors.
- Oversees the scheduling of all beverage staff.
- Oversees and assists beverage inventories and ensures proper stock at all beverage outlets and reconcile the inventory with purchases to insure all is accounted for.
- Recommend product for each alcoholic beverage service area, develop new alcohol-based drink and wine menus for outlets.
- Acts as liaison with suppliers, ensuring deadlines are met and product delivered in accordance with expectations.
- Responsible for the knowledge of Federal, State and local alcohol ordinances and the implementation of these ordinances and public health standards.
- Ensures that all beverage staff is TIPS trained and certified.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Assistant Food and Beverage Director.
- Able to lift and carry 30 lbs. occasionally.
- Able to stand and walk for 6-8 hours.
