What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vocational Services Coach position at Saratoga Bridges, NYSARC, Inc., Saratoga County Chapter?
This is a collaborative role where the Vocational Services Coach works with the Prevocational Instructor, the Program Coordinator, the employer, and the person receiving supports. Saratoga Bridges team works with the person receiving supports, to find out what skills that person has and what their interests are. The Vocational Services Coach then goes to employers to see if they can do onsite training with the individual.
The Vocational Services Coach provides one on one training to person aiding them in learning the skills of the job and the social expectations of the job role.
As the Arc in Saratoga County, we provide supports to people with developmental disabilities. For this role we strongly prefer someone with a year of experience working with people who have a developmental disability.
