What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at SARASOTA YACHT CLUB?
Summary of Position:
Welcome and warmly greet members on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our members to a table that best serves their wishes.
The job requires flexible hours based on Business needs, typical shifts are 4-5 hours.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Warmly and graciously greet all members upon arrival.
- When possible, open the front door for members entering or leaving the restaurant.
- Create table seating plan from Reservations.
- Accommodate special seating requests for members whenever possible.
- Seat members based on member preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
- Upon seating, offer members a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
- Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed.
- Thank members as they leave and invite them to return.
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant experience required.
- Be able to working in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, members and guests. (Spanish helpful)
- Must be computer literate and able to learn the POS, Reservation and Management Information Systems
- Must have exceptional grooming habits.
Salary : $18 - $20
