We are seeking a motivated and dependable Certified Surgical Scrub Technician to join our busy multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center in Sarasota, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced scrub technicians and newly certified graduates looking to develop their skills in a supportive surgical environment.

Position Summary
The Certified Surgical Scrub Technician assists surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff before, during, and after surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures.
- Establish and maintain sterile fields throughout procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and provide instruments and supplies efficiently.
- Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts with circulating nurses.
- Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases.
- Ensure proper care and handling of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other surgical team members.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Previous scrub experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in a multi-specialty surgical setting is a plus.
- Current BLS certification required or must be obtained upon hire.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experienced scrub technicians are preferred; however, we are willing to train a motivated, certified candidate who is eager to learn and grow in a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery environment.
