Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our team. As an essential member of our healthcare staff, the Ultrasonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to capture high-quality images of the body's internal structures. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of human anatomy and physiology, as well as a strong background in medical imaging and diagnostic evaluation.
Duties
- Conduct diagnostic imaging tests using ultrasound technology to visualize internal organs, tissues, and blood vessels.
- Utilize aseptic technique to ensure patient safety and minimize the risk of infection.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including explaining the process and positioning the patient for optimal imaging.
- Review and analyze images to identify potential health issues and assist in the development of treatment plans.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnoses and recommendations for further testing or treatment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict safety protocols and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical imaging technology and best practices in diagnostic evaluation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sonography or a related field.
- Current certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or the equivalent.
- Proven experience in an ER or similar fast-paced medical setting.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, as well as medical terminology.
- Familiarity with medical imaging software and the ability to accurately interpret diagnostic images.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and stressful environment, maintaining a high level of professionalism and composure under pressure.
- Aseptic technique certification or training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients and healthcare professionals.
