Job Summary
Functions in an advanced scrub role for operative procedures or as a cardiovascular CST. Provides an advanced level of practice utilizing knowledge, expertise, and involvement in professional activities to serve as a resource person for their patient population. Plans and executes complex daily activities including the ability to prioritize, impact the “30-minute” guarantee for inpatients and 25 minutes for outpatients in turnovers (patient out to in). Demonstrates role model professionalism and a working knowledge of advanced technology (i.e. minimally invasive procedures, daVinci) and makes significant contributions in reducing cost per case (i.e. impact preference card accuracy, choice or supplies, suture, etc). Serves in the role of preceptor for students and new hires.
*Preference is for candidate to have previous CVOR CST experience*
This role is working on the CVOR team in the Operating Room.
Salary Details:
Hourly rate is determined by years of worked experience as a CST, and internal equity within organization. Minimum rate starting at $31.10, max of salary range is $46.70.
Required Qualifications
- Require current CST national certification. Must maintain national certification with documented proof of current certification status.
- Require a minimum of one (1) year of cardiovascular experience, or three (3) years of general and vascular surgery experience.
Required License and Certs
BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
CST: Certified Surg Technologist
