Job Summary
Collaborates with program leaders to maximize efficiencies and proactively plan to meet the program requirements. Uses computer software for data input, analysis, report and program improvement. Uses evidence-based practice to support initiatives of the wellness program and pursue optimal standards of quality care for program participants. The Wellness Program Coach works with employees in promoting mental well-being for those who are facing various emotional, mental and personal challenges through understanding human behavior, empathy and communication skills. The coach/counselor promotes the improvement of overall well-being and personal goals through providing support, encouragement and education of coping skills and mental health.

Required Qualifications
- Require a master’s degree in a related field (social work, psychology or counseling).
- Require Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP) certification approved by the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) or must be obtained within one year of hire.
- Require active State of Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Require a minimum of one (1) year of counseling or health coach program experience.
- Prefer health coach certification approved by the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC).
- Prefer demonstrated computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and social media.
- Prefer demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, active listening, empathy, problem solving, cultural competencies and ethical decision making.
- Prefer demonstrated interpersonal relations and customer service skills that reflect the standards of SMHCS.
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare industry.
- Prefer demonstrated organizational skills.
