Operating Room
Job Summary
Reports to Sterile Processing Manager and Supervisor. Takes directions from lead tech or charge person, under supervision at all times. Responsible and accountable for duties related to the preparation of trays, equipment and case carts. Responsible for set up of basic surgical instruments, including cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly and wrapping. Performs other duties such as cleaning sterile supply cabinets and stocking supplies. Supports the sterile processing technicians. May be responsible for sorting instruments, placing sterile trays in storage, and running items to the operating room (OR) under direction of lead technician.
