Job Summary
This leader has accountability and oversight, and supervises the daily activities of the department, shift or area. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring individual and team work tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Require Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Associate degree and two (2) years of relevant work experience or high school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of relevant work experience can substitute on a year for year basis for the required degree.
- Require a minimum of two (2) years of phlebotomy experience with all age groups.
- Require phlebotomy certification with a national agency (requiring both an exam and clinical experience) must be current and active.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer two (2) years of previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Prefer knowledge of computer skills as needed for patient ID system and registration process.
- Prefer demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Prefer ability to interact successfully with patients, staff and other healthcare providers.
- Prefer valid driver’s license.
