Job Summary
This leader participates in the development, planning, implementation, and operation of departmental projects and services; works with pharmacy director to establish short and long range departmental goals and objectives; assumes responsibility for processes that involve movement of pharmaceutical products throughout the institution; assists with systems, regulatory requirements and performance improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Require five (5) years of recent, applicable institutional practice experience, including:
- Three (3) years in a pharmacy leadership position or other comparable professional qualifications and/or skills required; and
- Two (2) years of recent, applicable practice experience involving sterile product preparation required.
- Require formal training in implementing cleanroom principles and practices that comply with USP 797 and industry best practice, including training in compounding sterile preparations
- Require formal training or applicable practice experience in the safe handling and preparation of cytotoxic and other hazardous drugs
- Require current/active Florida Pharmacist license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer active Florida Pharmacy Consultant license.
- Prefer relationship with a college of pharmacy as an adjunct or associate professor or other comparable professional qualifications.
- Prefer current or recent position of leadership in a professional pharmacy organization or other comparable professional leadership qualifications.
