Role Description
This is an on-site role based in Venice, FL. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for performing blood collection procedures, ensuring the proper handling and labeling of specimens, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Key tasks include utilizing laboratory and medical equipment, adhering to medical terminology standards, following prescribed procedures, and providing compassionate care to patients. Collaboration with other medical personnel and delivering quality patient service are central aspects of this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Blood Collection and Laboratory Skills, ensuring proper technique and specimen integrity
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology and Medical Assisting practices in a clinical setting
- Basic understanding of Medicine and healthcare processes
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adhere to safety and compliance standards
- National certification as a Phlebotomist or equivalent qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and patient-focused care approach
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is preferred
