Job Summary
MUST LIVE IN FLORIDA
Applies appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to individual patient health information for data retrieval and analysis and claims processing.
(Remote on weekends)
Required Qualifications
- Require completion of basic introductory coding courses including ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pathology, and pharmacology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer basic computer skills.
- Prefer coding certification by American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or certification must be obtained within a time-frame agreed by management.
Mandatory Education
HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
Emergency Care Center and Urgent Care Center coder for weekend shift Tuesday-Saturday or Wednesday-Sunday. Hours are flexable.
