What are the responsibilities and job description for the Control Room Specialist-Court Services position at Sarasota County Sheriff's Office?
General Description of Duties: The control room specialist will be responsible for monitoring all court facilities’ CCure alarms, transportation doors, and cameras via closed circuit screens. The control room specialist must be able to multitask, be proficient in court services facility technologies and knowledgeable of the entire court services facility layout. The control room specialist must be proficient in utilizing agency radios, telephones, and various forms of digital communication. The control room specialist will maintain contact with judicial staff and assist supervisors in notifying deputies of staffing needs and notifying changes on the daily schedule. The control room specialist will be responsible for any other functions deemed appropriate by the bureau commander. This is a safety sensitive position.
Tasks: Complete assignment as directed; maintain work areas; knowledge of general orders; complete, update, submit required reports/documents/forms; control movement through facility; maintain security of computer touch screens; respond to and report inmate requests and/or grievances; respond to public inquiries; respond to public inquiries; process contract visitation requests; assists in other bureau functions and receive, route, and disperse telephone calls/messages.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Demonstrated skill in the use of computers and various office equipment as required to perform position tasks.
Information synthesis skills as well as inductive/deductive releasing ability.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written, demonstrating awareness for human diversity to citizens and colleagues.
Annual Work Hours: 2080
Long Term Pay Cap: $84,610
