Overview
Sarasota Academy of the Arts, is an A rated Kindergarten-8th grade charter school in Sarasota, FL. We are seeking a dedicated and caring Part Time Reading and Math Interventionist to support student learning and development within our elementary educational community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in literacy and numeracy education, with experience with leveled reading supports, phonics, etc. This role involves working closely with students to enhance their reading and math skills, particularly those who benefit from specialized interventions within the classroom as tier 2 support. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, classroom management abilities, and experience working with children of various ages.
Applicant must possess a Reading Endorsement Certificate.
Duties
- Develop and implement targeted reading and math intervention programs aligned with curriculum standards
- Track student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate intervention strategies into daily instruction
- Provide small group sessions within the classroom focused on literacy education, math skills, and overall academic growth
- Assist in the management classroom to promote positive behavior, conflict resolution, and effective classroom management
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, communicate effectively with parents and staff, and prepare reports as needed
