Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education.
- Utilize innovative learning technology and teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and classroom management skills.
- Assess student progress regularly through standardized testing, formative assessments, and informal observations to tailor instruction accordingly.
- Provide individualized support and tutoring to students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism or requiring early intervention services.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support students’ social-emotional well-being and academic growth.
- Incorporate literacy education resources to promote reading skills and foster a love for literature.
- Engage in curriculum development initiatives to ensure content remains current, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience working with children across early childhood and elementary age groups.
- Strong background in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or special education needs is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy education, math instruction, and standardized testing protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
