About the role:
As the Cad Designer, you will be responsible for producing timely and accurate shop drawings. These will be reviewed and approved by the client and then by the Production Manager. Next, they will be sent to the shop to use in production. You will be reporting to the Engineering Lead and closely collaborate with the Project Managers.
Your Responsibilities will include:
Project Overview
- Review blueprints in coordination with the contract item.
- Record which areas will require extra attention to detail during the field measurement.
- Schedule drawings to be completed.
Finish Schedule
- Create a list of all materials and hardware needed and also identify nonstandard and special-order materials.
Shop Drawings
- Complete shop drawings in a timely and accurate manner and produce all necessary views for the items.
- Submit all necessary notes and drawings to the project manager for approval of all necessary materials and colors.
- Perform any necessary revisions to drawings promptly.
