The Heart of Your Role
As a Direct Care Worker, you are the heartbeat of our center. You will:
- Create Meaningful Days: Provide the companionship that makes our participants feel seen and valued, sharing stories, and engaging in activities.
- Provide Essential Support: Assist with daily rhythms including personal hygiene, dressing, and assisting with meal preparation.
- Be a Guardian of Health: Monitor vital signs, administer medications under nursing supervision, and ensure a safe, clean environment.
- Navigate with Grace: Use your communication and de-escalation skills to handle challenging moments with patience and empathy.
What You Bring to the Table
We are looking for professionals who balance technical skill with a compassionate touch.
- Experience: Previous experience in direct care is preferred, especially within Dementia Care.
- Skillset: You are comfortable monitoring health status, recognizing changes in well-being, and assisting with dietary needs.
- Certification: First Aid/AED certification is a significant plus.
- Temperament: You are a calm presence in the face of conflict and a dedicated advocate for those with diverse needs.
