Role Description
This is an on-site, part-time role based in Pittsburgh, PA, for a Youth Development Aide. The Youth Development Aide will assist in facilitating youth programs, supervising activities, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. Duties include mentoring and engaging with participants, providing administrative support, assisting with activity planning and preparation, and addressing any issues that arise. The role requires collaboration with a diverse team committed to positively impacting the lives of children and teens.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS - Strong desire and capability to work with children - Proven ability to supervise and manage children's behavior - Ability to maintain a positive attitude throughout the day - High energy levels - Experience in working with children - Understanding of programming, planning, and implementation - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and children - Strong verbal communication skills - Preferred knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of SHH
